Isshinryu Karate at Oneheart Dojo

In brief, you should know the following about us:
our dojo was established in 1994 and has been responsible for providing outstanding Christian Martial Arts ever since. At Oneheart Dojo we teach Isshinryu Karate, a very traditional Okinawa style. With that as our foundation, We also crosstrain in REAL street defence to make sure you get home safe and sound. Our members particularly value our CHRISTIAN FAMILY ATMOSPHERE, and we all believe that we should be a beacon of light encouraging others to stand firm in their Christian beliefs.
Our martial arts training is rooted in traditional Okinawan Isshinryu Karate, a style built on efficiency, simplicity, and real-world application. At Oneheart Dojo, we emphasize practical street defense skills while nurturing the physical, mental, and spiritual growth of every student. Our Christian-based approach ensures a values-driven environment where everyone is treated with respect and care.

Class Schedules

Jrs Karate Class (ages 5 to 13)

This class is structured for school aged children together toward listening, focus, respect, and traditional Isshinryu Karate training. Karate training consists of basic Hand & Feet techniques, Kata( a series of moves done in a predesigned way), Kumite ( very controlled, padded fighting ), and Traditional Weapons training. Classes meet every Tuesday & Thursday from 5:30 – 7:00. NO CONTRACTS – NO TESTING FEES.
Foundational karate training focused on respect, discipline, and fun.

Adult Karate Class (ages 14 & up)

 This is a traditional Isshinryu Karate class along with cross training in various other styles to enhance our Martial Arts. We believe in cross training in several different disciplines to help our students to gain overall knowledge and abilities in traditional Isshiryu as well as REAL Street Defence. Classes meet every Tuesday and Thursday From 7:00 – 8:30. NO CONTRACTS – NO TESTING FEES.
Practical self-defense and traditional Isshinryu training for teens and adults.

Homeschool

Fridays | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Daytime class designed to fit homeschooling schedules, with emphasis on structure, movement also subject to adult class.

Private Classes

 These classes are designed around the student’s wants and needs. This class can be self defence or karate only or a hybrid of both, designed for intense one on one instruction without the crowd, or for privacy reasons. Class times are scheduled between the instructor and the student to fit into both of their schedules. NO CONTRACT REQUIRED.
